DESIGN
Metron-Farnier single-jet meters now come standard with straight read,
absolute-encoded registers. The design and quality of these registers
are unmatched in the water industry. Incorporating a drag-free,
friction-free absolute encoder is an industry first and provides
the only solution that combines high performance with ease of reading.
PERFORMANCE
Absolute encoders are the standard by which all other registers are
compared. It is the only register technology which ensures accuracy
by generating all reads from a single source. In the past however,
encoded technology meant mechanical contacts which can wear and cause
inaccuracy. With Metron-Farnier’s new Hawkeye™ encoder, the mechanical
operation is replaced with a zero-wear, zero-drag, optical system.
This design guarantees accurate reading and, unlike traditional encoders,
preserves the range advantages of our high-performance single-jet
design. There is not another meter currently available that can match
the performance of our meter or register.
